FAQ

Can HGH be taken orally or by nasal spray?
It's not known that human growth hormone taken by mouth or nasal spray has any effect at all. It is a very large protein molecule which is promptly digested by the enzymes in the stomach and intestine before any absorption is possible. Although it is true that certain amino acids (taken in the proper combination, in large doses, and on an empty stomach) can increase pituitary release of HGH, studies have shown that this effect can produce a brief increase of 30% or so, far less effective than HGH by injection.

Do I need a prescription for HRT?
A prescription is required for treatment with Human Growth Hormone, Testosterone, Estrogen, and Progesterone. DHEA and Melatonin do not require a prescription. It is important to get your non-prescription products from a reputable company, as these products are not regulated as strictly as prescription drugs and can differ in their quality and purity.

Should I worry about contracting diseases from HGH?
NO. Before the advent of recombinant DNA technology, HGH was extracted from the pituitary glands of cadavers. Some people who used this HGH contracted a rare brain disorder, abbreviated CJ disease. Today, HGH is made from a process using recombinant DNA technology. There is no risk of contracting CJ or any other communicable diseases from this new form of HGH.

Can HRT cause side effects?
If hormone levels were normal from age 20 to 40, levels have declined with age, and replacement is only to restore the same levels that were well tolerated for 20 years, then it is unlikely that hormone replacement will cause any serious side effects in later life. The risk is further reduced if only natural hormones are used. However, any type of medication can have side effects if not administered properly. The scientific studies show that the potential benefits of HRT are great, whereas, most problems reported from HRT are caused by overdosing at excessive levels. To insure safety, HRT should be supervised by an experienced health care professional and hormone levels should not be raised above a normal youthful range. Side effects should always be reported to your physician, as a dosage adjustment can often bring relief.
